Biography

Josh Panter is an associate attorney at the Law Office of Blake A. Poole, LLC whose practice focuses solely on criminal defense. Josh is a trial lawyer who aggressively defends his clients with skill and meticulous attention to detail. Whether at  trial or through negotiation, Josh consistently secures amazing results for his clients. Josh has secured multiple NOT GUILTY verdicts after trial; many dismissals, including dismissals of kidnapping, trafficking, assault and battery, DUI, and other serious charges; and many straight probation and reduction resolutions, including reductions from DUI to Reckless Driving, Family Violence to Non-Family Violence Charges; Trafficking to lesser drug charges; and more.   

Josh is a member of The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 for Criminal Defense in Georgia, and Josh was selected as one of Georgia Trend’s 2025 Legal Elite. Josh is also a member of the Gainesville Jaycees

Josh was born and raised in Gainesville, Georgia. He graduated from Gainesville High School. Josh is married to his wife, Brittany. Josh and Brittany met while attending Marshall University where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science. They have a daughter named Adalaide and a son named Griffin. 

Josh graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Law where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. While attending the University of Cincinnati College of Law, Josh interned for the Honorable Jerome J. Metz Jr. at the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. Josh also regularly engaged in pro bono work for the Immigrant & Refugee Law Center by performing legal research and writing pertaining to asylum cases. Prior to joining the Law Office of Blake A. Poole, Josh was an associate attorney at Gatlin Voelker, PLLC. At Gatlin Voelker, Josh performed legal work pertaining to a variety of legal matters spanning from illegal searches and seizures in criminal defense cases to violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
